In School Professional Football Coaching

In School Professional Football Coaching

The Football Development Programme © delivers ‘In School Professional Football Coaching’ in Primary Schools across Lancashire.

These sessions are extremely popular in Primary Schools as it gives schools the opportunity to employ specialist coaches to improve its P.E and Sport in School.

Children will have the opportunity to work with Academy Coaches who are all either UEFA ‘B’ or UEFA ‘A’ Licence Coaches who also work for Premier League Academies.

These sessions are an excellent way for Schools to use there PE and Sport Premium Funding, as well as P.P.A cover for teachers.

How do the Sessions Work?

We offer all Primary Schools the chance to work with our Staff over a select number of weeks, dependant on the requirements of the School. For example, if Schools would like to take part in a 6 week block of sessions, over a morning or full day, the timetable would look something like this:

9:30am – 10:30am – Class 1

10:45am – 11:45am – Class 2

1:05pm – 2:05pm – Class 3

2:15pm – 3:15pm – Class 4

What do the Sessions involve and what do the children learn?

All sessions will involve Ball Manipulation, as well techniques in Dribbling and Running with the Ball. This gives each child the opportunity to gain confidence and understanding in these topics.  We aim to improve each child technically and make sure all sessions involve every child in the class. We encourage children to work at their own pace throughout the session and concentrate on their own development during that time.

As mentioned above, all children will have the opportunity to work with Academy Coaches who are either UEFA ‘B’ or UEFA ‘A’ Licence Coaches. Please visit the About Us page for information on Coaches who will be visiting your School.

All equipment including Nike footballs, bibs and cones are provided for the day. All children will require P.E kits and suitable footwear to take part in the sessions.
